We look for engineers who want the whole problem, learn a new domain fast, and care about the fundamentals more than the framework of the month. Almost everyone here has a master's degree, and all of us ship. Everyone here works with what would otherwise be their hobby, and loves it; that is what makes us strong. What you get is work that shows up on a client's bottom line, and colleagues you learn from.
Five principles
How we work
We know the fundamentals from the bottom up, so we can go anywhere. The fundamentals go all the way down here, and they have held through more than two decades of changing markets and technology. That is what lets us take on a new domain, stack or regulator without a reset, and see quickly what a new technology does, and what it cannot.
We run small, senior teams on the critical path. Nearly everyone here is an engineer. Small teams of strong people build better systems and change direction faster when the goal moves.
Data guides, and judgement decides. A live system's data tells us what to do next and keeps everyone honest. We keep room for deliberate experimentation, because data alone confines you to the known.
Ownership is personal. Everyone here has the mandate to make things better and the responsibility to do it, for the client's product, the process and each other.
Technology is chosen for the job, and re-chosen. We pick a framework for what it has to achieve, not for what is current, what is popular, or what we happen to know already. And we keep re-evaluating, so we stay ahead of the curve rather than behind it. We take the hard problems.
